Turning Pain into Purpose

Life’s trials have the power to either break or build a person. In this heartfelt session, Ustazah Shameem Sultanah invites participants to look beyond their pain and uncover the divine wisdom and hidden strength within every hardship. Drawing from the Qur’an, Hadith, and real-life experiences, she will share insights that help participants view their struggles not as punishments, but as pathways to growth, resilience, and closeness to Allah.

Through her guidance, participants will discover how to transform grief into gratitude, despair into hope, and wounds into wisdom — realizing that the moments which hurt the most often shape one’s greatest purpose.

This event will be conducted in English and is open to both Muslimin and Muslimah.

Prayer area will be provided.

We warmly welcome children of all ages to our event. If your child requires their own seat, do purchase a ticket for them.

We encourage parents to prepare and bring along quiet activities or materials to keep little ones engaged. Please also ensure that children do not cause disruptions, so that everyone present can focus and fully benefit from the session. We gently request that noise is kept to a minimum, in consideration of all participants.

By public transport - Take the MRT to the nearest MRT station, Boon Lay (EW27) and take bus 199 from Boon Lay Bus Interchange to Bef Lor Danau. SJ Campus is a short 5-minute walk from the nearest bus stop.

By driving - There is basement parking. Look for Tower 8 lift lobby and head up to level B1.

By ride-hailing services - There is a convenient drop-off point right at the entrance. Look for Tower 8 lift lobby and head down to level B1.
