Animals in the Qur'an

You’ve probably read these verses before. You know the stories. You recognise the animals.

But perhaps there’s one question we don’t ask enough: Why did Allah choose that animal?

Of all His creations, why did Allah draw our attention to these particular creatures, at these particular moments in the Qur’an? Surely, they were never just part of the story.

Sometimes, what looks like a small detail in an ayah may be carrying a lesson we’ve never stopped long enough to notice. And once you notice it, you may never read that verse the same way again.
